Ⅰ．序論

　脳室内出血後，急激に髄液の通過障害が増強したと考えられ，重篤な状態となったがspontaneous 3rd ventriculostomyにより，閉塞性水頭症のspontaneous arrestがもたらされた稀有なる第3脳室後半部腫瘍の1例を経験したので文献的考察を加え報告する．

We have reported a rare case of spontaneous 3rd ventriculostomy with spontaneous arrest of obstructive hydrocephalus. A 41 year old man, who had had an intermittent headache for about a year, was admitted to the department of neurosurgery Kitasato University with chief complaints of sudden onset of severe headache, vomiting and disturbance of consciousness.
