I．はじめに
脊髄損傷（以下脊損）のリハビリテーション（以下リハ）を運動学の面から考えるとすれば，まず脊損の基本的な運動障害がいかなるものであるか，ついで日常生活動作において残存機能をいかに活用しているか，あるいは活用すべきかに分けて論ずるのが妥当であろう。
Abstract
Distribution and quality of motor disturbances depend basically on type and level of the spinal cord injury, spasticity, sensory loss and joint contracture.
To rehabilitate the spinal cord injury patients is to match their residual motor function toactivities of daily living with help of modifying the pattern of activities ("trick motion"), self help devices, orthoses and surgical intervention.
For quadriplegics, prehension and reachability of upper extremity as well as mobility should be established.
