緒言
多発性硬化症は欧米に比較し本邦では稀な疾患とされておりその存在が疑問視された時代もあつたが，1958年沖中，黒岩らを中心とする調査4）17）18）で少数ながら本邦にも存在することが明らかになつた。然しながら欧米に見られる様な典型的な剖検例は本邦では未だ数例9）11）14）しか報告されておらず，欧米のものとの差に就て議論を呼んでいる。著者は今回，その病巣の分布の点では多発性硬化症のそれに一致するが，組織学的には嚢胞に迄進んだ極めて程度の強い像を示す症例を剖検する機会を得たので報告する。
A 35 year-old male noted monoplegia of the right upper limb six years prior to death. The-reafter, several attacks of hemiplegia of the upper and lower extremities, visual difficulty, speech disturbance appeared and remitted. At autopsy, multiple lesions were found mainly in the frontal and parietal lobes of the cerebrum. In the fresh lesions, demyelination, preservation of axis cylinders, proliferation of microglia cells and capillaries were found.
