緒言

　腎腫瘍のうち初期のものは血尿，疼痛，腎部腫瘤の三大徴候を備えているものは少なく，術前診断は比較的困難なことが多い。われわれは最近診断困難な腎腫瘍を1例経験したのでその症例を報告するとともに文献的考察を行なつた。

A 64 year old man consulted our clinic with the chief complaint of gross total hematuria, without flank pain, palpable abdominal tumor, fever and pollakiuria.

Examination of the blood, showed that the bleeding time, the coagulation time, the other laboratory findings, and the renal function test were all normal. Left pyelogram was not visualized clearly from the abdominal gaseous shadow by excretory urogram. Retrograde pyelogram showed underdevelo pment of each calyces, but showed no neoplastic changes. Renal scintigram by ²⁰³Hg demonstrated 'cold area' at the left superior pole.
