緒言

　1952年にOeserとBillion^1）が¹³¹I-Diodrastを用いて，腎機能検査を行なつて以来，Radioisotopeによる腎機能検査は，Taplin^2），Kadeらへと発展し，1955年には，Winter^3）が臨床的応用に成功するに至り，数多くの成績が報告されている。

　わが国においても，南^4）5），市川^6），高橋^7），町田^8），志田ら^9〜13）の多くの報告がみられるが，著者らも，"イタイイタイ病"患者の腎機能検査に本法を使用する機会をえたので，その概要を報告する。

Renal function of 30 cases of "Itai-itai" disease was examined by radioisotope renogram. 20 to 30 microcuries of Hippuran-¹³¹I, was used. Special consideration was given to decide the location of the kidney, before the examination, due to the extensive deformation of bony structure in "Itai-itai" disease.

The degree of renal function impairment was not parallel to the severity of "Itai-itai" disease con-sidered from its clinical findings, such as, pain, biochemical findings, bony deformity and others, but the duration after the onset of the disease.
