I．緒言
扁平紅色苔癬は比較的稀な疾患であるが，近年，斎藤1）および安田2）が本症の増加傾向をみとめているのに対し，小川ら3）はこの傾向を否定している。われわれは昭和37年より昭和42年までの6年間に当科外来を訪れた扁平紅色苔癬患者について統計的観察およびアンケートによる予後調査を行なつたので，ここにその結果を報告する。
Statistic studies on 150 cases of lichen planus at our outpatient clinic and studies on prognosis of 43 cases by enquete with letters were performed.
1. Frequency of occurrence was 0.25%. Sixty-three percent of them were in the age of 21 to 50. There was no sex difference in its frequency. Fifty-eight percent of them had skin lesions on the extremities and 67% of them complained itching.
2. Forty-eight percent of them showed typical histologic picture, and in 14 cases there were Max Joseph's cleft, and in 18 cases eosinophilic corpuscles.
3. Arsenics were effective in 10 of 15 cases. In seven cases skin eruptions disappeared spon-taneously.
