I．はじめに

　1906年Tswettは粗製の葉緑素を石油エーテルに溶かし，炭酸カルシウムを充填したガラス塔に流し続けると緑と黄色の着色帯に分離することを発表した^1）。以来クロマトグラフィーの技術は毛細管クロマトグラフィーから薄層クロマトグラフィー迄急速に発達してきたが，これらの多くのものは移動相として液体を用いたもので，その分析結果を得るまでには長時間を必要とした。

　1952年Martin＆James^2）は移動相として気体を用い，少量の試料で短時間に正確な分析結果が得られるガス—クロマトグラフィーを用い脂酸の分析を行ない，更にCopper＆Heywood^3）は脂酸をメチール化すると容易に分析出来ることを報告した。その後ガス—クロマトグラフィーはカラム，検出器，恒温槽等に改良が加えられた結果，現在は各種分析に利用され，医学の分野でも広く応用されるようになつた。皮膚科的にも本方法を使用した多くの報告があり，本邦でも皮膚の各層^4），脂漏性湿疹患者血清^5），乾癬患者血清^6）並びにその落屑^7）の脂酸についての報告がある。

Serum levels of some of the fatty acids in 2 cases of erythrodermia congenita ichthyosiformis, one case of Sjögren-Larsson's syndrome, 10 cases of ichthyosis congenita and 12 normal subjects were studied.

After methylation of total fatty acids in plasma, the samples were analysed by gaschromato-graphy.

In normal subjects the levels of palmitic acid, oleic acid and Iinoleic acid were higher, while those of palmitoleic acid, myristic acid, lauric acid and arachidonic acid were lower.

In the group of ichthyosis, fatty acids were within normal levels except 3 cases of ichthyosis vulgaris.

In one case of ichthyosis vulgaris showed higher levels of palmitic acid and myristic acid. In the other two cases the levels of lauric acid and myristic acid were higher than those of the control.
