　はじめに

　腺様嚢胞癌（adenoid cystic carcinoma）は大唾液腺，小唾液腺に好発し，その臨床経過の特徴として腫瘍の発育は緩徐であるが局所再発や遠隔転移がしばしばみられ，長期にわたると予後が悪いとされている^1〜3）。

　今回われわれは，当科で経験した頭頸部腺様嚢胞癌27例について臨床統計的検討を行ったので，文献的考察を含め報告する。

Twenty-seven cases with adenoid cystic carcinoma in the head and neck regions treated at Tokyo Women'sMedical University were clinically reviewed. The mean age of the patients was 58years and the male : female ratio was 1.5:1. The parotid gland and the external auditory meatus were the most frequent site of primary lesion. The overall 5-year and 10-year survival rate for all of the cases were 63.4% and 38.0% respectively. The prognosis of solid type was worse than that of cribriform and tubular type.
