　はじめに

　急性副鼻腔炎は日常診察で遭遇する疾患の1つであり，多くは保存的治療で軽快する。しかし，ときに眼窩内や頭蓋内に合併症を引き起こし，重篤な病態に至る場合もある。

　今回われわれは，急性副鼻腔炎に伴って前額部膿瘍をきたした1症例を経験したので報告する。

A 11-year-old male with acute sinusitis was treated with antibiotics for the first one week. How-ever, eyelid and frontal swelling worsened. It was supposed that the sinus infection spread to the fron-tal subcutaneous space through a bony defect in the lamina papyracea as revealed by CT scan. Frontal abscess was incised and drained. The anterior eth-moid and maxillary sinuses were explored by endos-copic surgery. After the surgery, the clinical course was satisfactory.
