　はじめに

　Fibrous dysplasiaは，1938年にLichtenstein^1）が命名した組織学的に線維性結合の増殖と未熟な骨梁の新生を特徴とする原因不明の骨疾患である。本疾患は全身の骨に単発性，多発性に生じるが，大多数は大腿骨，脛骨のような長管骨に生じ，頭頸部領域の骨に生じることは稀であるとされている。今回，上顎骨，側頭骨に生じたfibrousdysplasiaの各1例を経験したので，文献的考察を加えて報告する。

Two cases of fibrous dysplasia of the maxilla and of the temporal bone are reported. The lesions were detected by CT and MRI. CT scan revealed a mass lesion with soft tissue density in the maxillary sinus in the first case and the mastoid cavity in the second case. MRI was very useful for the differential diag-nosis of fibrous dysplasia and ossifying fibroma. A histopathological examination demostrated the typical features of fibrous dysplasia.
