はじめに
カルチノイドは，消化管を中心にほぼ全身の諸臓器に散在する神経内分泌細胞より発生する腫瘍であるが，喉頭に発生することは非常に稀で，本邦ではこれまでに14例の報告をみるにすぎない。
今回われわれは加療時より11年の長期経過をたどり，全身転移にて死亡した喉頭カルチノイドの1症例を経験したので報告する。
A 57-year-old woman complained of persistant sore throat and abnormal sensation of throat for 1 year and 6 months. A tumor of the right arytenoid was biopsied. The histological diagnosis was a poorly differentiated squamous cell carcinoma. After radiation therapy of 3,400 rad, CO2 laser sur-gery was performed. Four years after, skin metas-tasis was found, and the tumor resection was per-formed 5 times. Re-examination of histological study and a Grimelius stain was performed, and the tumor was finally diagnosed as an atypical car-cinoid.
Eleven years after, the patient died of skin, par-otid gland, lung, brain metastasis and primary recurrence.
