　はじめに

　眼窩腫瘍は眼疾患のなかでは比較的まれな疾患ではあるが，その外科的治療では腫瘍の完全摘出を行うとともに，特に良性腫瘍では合併症を最小限とし，美容的にも満足のいく結果を得ることが重要である。

　今回われわれは，眼球突出にて発症し，長期間にわたり経過観察されてきた眼窩内海綿状血管腫に対し前頭開頭下に摘出を行い，良好な結果を得ることができたので報告する。

A 16-year-old female was complaining of repeated episode of right proptosis, a swelling of the upper eyelid and diplopia for 12 years. CT and MRI revealed a right intraorbital tumor that was of round and homogeneous and did not involve the optic nerve.

She was treated with surgical resection under general anesthesia. The tumor was easily dissected from the surrounding tissues by transcranial approach. Histopathological diagnosis was cavern-ous hemangioma. The postoperative course was satisfactory and five months after the operation, proptosis was disappeared and there was no evi-dence of recurrence.
