  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

Four cases of orbital tumor or orbit-intracranial tumor were operated through transfrontal approach with the use of operating microscope. All the patients had been suffering from unilateral ex-ophthalmos and visual disturbance. In one case of invasive carcinoma from the orbit to brain base, the patient complained of severe pain along the trigeminal nerve. The tumor and Gasserian gan-glion were successfully removed.

As advantages of transfrontal approach to the or-bital tumor, a wide view of the surgical area allows a free use of microscope and enables the simultane-ous removal of intracranial lesion whenever present.
