　はじめに

　近年甲状腺疾患手術症例の報告は増加しつつある。この一因としては種々の画像診断法の進歩や穿刺細胞診の普及により術前に本疾患の部位的，質的診断がより正確に行われるようになったことがあげられる。従来甲状腺の外科的治療については一般外科からの報告が主であったが，最近では，耳鼻咽喉科や頭頸部外科が取り扱った症例も多く報告されている。そこで，われわれも最近4年間に経験した甲状腺疾患手術症例について，その一般的臨床統計および術前診断法について検討したので報告する。

The authors analyzed thirty five cases of thyroid diseases treated from 1990 to 1993, and evaluatedthe efficacy of preoperative examinations. In this study, clinical statistics on patients showed a simi-lar result of the past reports. The preoperative examinations including soft tissue radiography, ultrasonography, radio-isotope scan, CT scan and fine needle aspiration biopsy were characteristic in these diseases and the preoperative diagnosis of the thyroid diseases should be made by considering all these findings.
