甲状腺神経鞘腫の一症例

A NEURILEMMOMA OF THE THYROID GLAND

　I．はじめに

　ノイリノームは，全身到る所に発生するが頭頸部領域における発生率は，約25％であり，圧倒的に多い聴神経腫瘍を除けば，舌や頸部に発生する割合が比較的多い。性差はないが特に30〜40歳台に多く個体の腫瘍発生の素因が，重視されている^1）〜5）。

　甲状腺の良性非上皮性腫瘍としては，血管系腫瘍，平滑筋腫瘍，神経系腫瘍などが報告されているが，中でも甲状腺神経鞘腫は，稀な疾患であり，われわれが経験した症例を報告する^6）。

　A case of neurilemmoma of the thyroid gland was reported. A 30-year-old male patient complained of a painless swelling of the neck of two months' duration. On clinical examination, a non-tender lump was palpated near the isthmus of the thyroid gland, and there was no cafe-au lait spot in the skin. The mass was suspected as a benign thyroid nodule. It was extirpated using blunt dissection under general anesthesia.

　The tumor was well encapsulated and solid. Histological examination of the tumor revealed a neurilemmoma of Antoni-A type.
