はじめに
埋没耳は日本人には比較的多くみられる耳介の先天奇形のひとつで，一般的に就学前までには治療されるため成人にはほとんど見られない。
今回著者らは61歳の男性の埋没耳を経験し，小児における症例との比較を行ったので，若干の文献的考察を含め報告する。
Cryptotia is a very common anomaly among children in Japan but rare in adult because it has already treated in childhood.
A 61-year-old male with bilateral cryptotia, classified as type I according to Arai's classifica-tion, that shows a little deformity in the upper part of the antihelix. He was treated by Matsuo's method. The superior auriclar musclewhich is inserted from the upper part of the helix was detached and re-attached to the cminentia fossae trianglularis.
There is no large difference in the operative technique between child and adult.
