　はじめに

　日常診療において咽喉頭異常感を主訴として来院する患者は非常に多く，その約半数は器質的異常による症状であるといわれている。その器質的異常を伴う原因疾患としては慢性咽喉頭炎，扁桃炎，あるいは慢性副鼻腔炎，アレルギー性鼻炎といった慢性炎症によるものが多く，さらに，腫瘍性疾患も見逃してはならない重要な疾患である^1）。また，茎状突起過長症などの咽喉頭部の形態異常による症状発現も知られている。

　一方，精査の結果器質的な異常発見できない場合も多く，この場合全身的要因の検索^2）や整形外科的検討^3），慎重な経過観察が必要とされ，また治療に当たっては心身症的な配慮^4）も必要とされている。

A 48-year-old female complained of abnormal sensation in the right side of her throat and showed a projection in the right side of the hypopharyngeal space. Superior carnal disloca-tion of the right thyroid cartilage was diagnosed by laryngoscopy and roentgenography. The cornal dislocation was removed under general anesthesia. At surgery, the superior corn of the thyroid car-tilage was found projected to the pharyngeal mucous membrane. After surgery, abnormal sen-sation in the throat was disappeared.
