頭頸部癌根治治療の細胞性免疫能への影響

Influence of Curative Therapeutic Procedures on the Cellular Immunity in Head and Neck Carcinomas

　はじめに

　頭頸部進行癌症例では宿主の細胞性免疫能が低下し^1），この免疫能の破綻が予後に大きく関わっていると考えられる。それ故に免疫療法の必要性が喧伝されている。

　一方，頭頸部癌の根治治療としては放射線治療あるいは手術が選択される。今回こうした根治治療が担癌患者の免疫能にどのように影響を及ぼすかを，末梢血リンパ球サブセットおよびリンパ球幼若化率の変動を指標として検討したので，その結果を報告する。

The immunity of patient with advanced head and neck carcinomas is depressed before treat-ments. However, it is unclear whether curative therapeutic procedure could influence the dep-ressed immunity of cancer patients or not.

The cellular immunity before and after curative radiation and surgical therapies was evaluated by immunological parameters.

The radiation therapy markedly decreased the immunity of cancer patients, and also the surgical operations impaired the patients' immunity.

These results showed the importance of the intensive immunotherapy for advanced cases, treated with current therapies.
