当科で経験した小児の外耳道軟骨腫

Cases of chondroma of the bony external auditory canal

はじめに

　外耳道良性腫瘍は比較的稀な疾患であるが，軟骨腫の報告は非常に少ない。また，小児例はより少ないとされるが，理由としては無症状で経過することから，耳鼻咽喉科で耳内の診察を受けるまで指摘されない可能性があるとされる^1）。今回われわれは，外耳道原発と考えられる軟骨腫の小児例を経験した。本症例は骨部外耳道の前壁に白色腫瘤として認められたが，検討するなかで，当科で経験した他の小児例5例にも同部位に白色腫瘤を認めたことが明らかになった。そこで，これらの症例を併せて文献的考察を加え，報告する。

　A chondroma involving the external auditory canal is rare. Here, we report the case of a 4-year-old girl who was referred to our clinic without any symptoms. Otoscopic examination revealed a tiny bone-like tumor protruding from the anterior wall of the bony external auditory canal. An audiogram revealed a normal hearing level. No recurrence was observed after excision of the tumor through the ear canal. Histological evaluation confirmed that the tumor was a chondroma.

　Benign tumors of the ear canal are considered relatively rare diseases, and few reports of chondroma are available in the literature.
