軟口蓋裏面に発生した血管平滑筋腫の1例

A case of angioleiomyoma arising from the back of the soft palate

はじめに

　血管平滑筋腫は，1937年にStout^1）により自験例15例を加えたうえで，孤立性の皮膚または皮下平滑筋腫瘍として初めて報告された。主に下肢に発生する有痛性・孤立性の皮下結節を特徴とし，頭頸部における発生は稀である。

　今回，われわれは軟口蓋裏面に発生した血管平滑筋腫の1症例を経験したので，若干の考察を加えて報告する。

　Angioleiomyoma is a benign tumor often arising from the lower extremities. Its occurrence in the head and neck region is rare.

　A 59-year-old man presented with a small painless tumor in the back of the soft palate, which was found using CT. The well-circumscribed tumor and adjacent mucous tissue were easily removed by simple excision. Histopathological findings revealed spindle-shaped tumor cells with partial hyalinizations and irregularly dilated vascular structures composed of cells confirmed to be angioleiomyoma by immunohistochemical staining using desmin, vimentin, and α-smooth muscle actin（SMA）.
