（展示236）　63歳男性に左上肢の麻痺と右眼視野障害が同じ日に生じた。翌日の検査で右眼底に上耳側の網膜動脈閉塞の所見と，動脈壁に栓子が多発していた。5日後に左下肢に麻痺が現れ，同じ日に右眼視力障害が悪化した。内科的に脳梗塞，眼科的に右眼網膜動脈分枝と毛様網膜動脈の閉塞と診断した。動脈血管写で右内頸動脈壁から栓子が末梢側に飛散したことが，脳梗塞と網膜動脈閉塞の同時発症の原因と推定された。

A 63-year-old male developed, on the same day, paresis of left upper arm and visual field defect in the right eye. Funduscopy showed branch retinal occlusion and numerous plaques in retinal arteries in the affected eye. He was diagnosed as brain infarction and occlusion of retinal and cilioretinal arteries. Stenosis of right inner carotid artery was detected by angiography. It appeared that the release of multiple emboli from the site of internal carotid stenosis was the cause of cerebral and retinal lesions.
