　眼位異常を契機として，生後13か月の男児の両眼に硝子体出血が発見された。生後22か月に当科を受診し，両眼の硝子体出血に対する全身麻酔下での検査時に，車軸状黄斑分離，周辺の網膜分離，網膜内層の円孔，乳頭から黄斑を越える網膜ひだの形成がみられた。先天網膜分離症は，先天網膜ひだを形成する原因疾患の一つとして念頭におくべきであり，網膜ひだを伴う裂孔原性網膜剥離の検索で留意されるべきである。

Abnormal eye position led to the detection of vitreous hemorrhage in both eyes of a 13-month-old male infant. Examinaton under general anesthesia at the age of 22 months led to the detection of foveal retinoschisis, retinoschisis in the periphery, inner retinal hole and retinal fold extending from the disc over the fovea. Congenital retinoschisis is one of the underlying causes of congenital retinal fold that may occur by posterior vitreous detachment and vitreoretinal adhesion at a restricted area of the separated retina.Thus, it needs due attention in the differential diagnosis of rhegmatogenous retinal detachment.
