瘢痕期未熟児網膜症に合併する網膜孔形成と網膜剥離の治療成績について

Treatment of retinal breaks and detachment in the cicatricial retinopathy of prematurity

　1975年8月から1981年10月までの間に名市大眼科で網膜孔または網膜剥離を合併したために治療を行った瘢痕期未熟児網膜症が17症例あり，これらにつき検討し，次の結果を得た。

（1）両眼性が多い（70.6％）。（2）在胎期間32週以下，生下時体重1,500g以下が多い（それぞれ82.4％）。（3）軽度の瘢痕を認めるものが多い。（4）中等度以上の近視が過半数を占める（52.0％）。（5）学童期に発病しやすい（88.2％）。（6）網膜孔は耳側周辺部網膜に発生しやすい（68.9％）。（7）網膜孔は赤道部の白色瘢痕組織に近接して発生しやすい（62.0％）。

We observed 17 children with retinal breaks and/or retinal detachment as late complications of retinopathy of prematurity. The cases included 7males and 10 females. The retinal breaks or detach-ment were detected at 8 to 19 years of age averag-ing 11.8 years. Their birth weights ranged from 1,000 to 1,780 g averaging 1,297.6 g. The gestation period ranged from 27 to 34 weeks averaging 30.7 weeks. The retinal breaks were present bilaterally in 10 cases and unilaterally in 3 cases. Out of the 4 cases with retinal detachment, it occurred bilat-erally in one case.
