　ベーチェット病患者の併発白内障14症例21眼に対して最近4年間に行った超音波乳化吸引術および眼内レンズ挿入術を含む手術成績を検討した。5例7眼には水晶体嚢内摘出，3例5眼には水晶体嚢外摘出，7例9眼には超音波乳化吸引術と眼内レンズ挿入を行った。手術時の年齢は38歳から57歳，術後経過観察期間は6か月から52か月であった。手術前後の6か月間で眼発作の頻度の変化には，各術式間で差はなかった。術後2段階以上視力の改善したのは14眼で，術式間で差はみられなかった。ベーチェット病患者には超音波乳化吸引術および眼内レンズ挿入が可能である。

We reviewed 21 eyes in 14 patients with Behçet disease who underwent cataract surgery during the foregoing 4 years. Intracapsular cataract extraction was performed in 7 eyes, intracapsular extraction in 5 and phacoemulsification and aspiration with intraocular lens implantation in 9. The ages ranged from 38 to 57 years, average 45 years. The follow-up period ranged from 6 to 52 months, average 26 months. There was no difference in the frequency of ocular attacks after surgery among these three procedures. No deterioration in visual acuity set in after surgery in all the eyes. Intraocular lens implantation is one of the choices for cataract surgery in patients with Behçet disease.
