　網膜細動脈瘤の自検例53眼につき，視力の転帰に関する因子を検討した。男子11眼，女子42眼で，両眼性は4眼2例であった。年齢は39〜83歳であった。53眼中45眼で，細動脈瘤自体にレーザー光凝固術を施行した。黄斑部の出血と浮腫が消失した時点での視力を最終視力として，初診時視力と比較した。視力回復良好例は33眼，不良例は20眼であった。急性期の黄斑部病変で分類すると，網膜下出血があった例では，出血が消褪したのち色素上皮の萎縮が起き，視力回復は不良であった。黄斑部の網膜下出血がなく，網膜前出血や浮腫が主病変であった場合には，視力回復は良好であった。

We evaluated the visual prognosis in 53 eyes with retinal arteriolar macroaneurysm. Observed cases were 11 males and 42 females. The ages ranged from 39 to 83 years. Direct photocoagulation was applied to the macroaneurysm in 48 eyes. We compared the visual acuity at first visit with that when the macular hemorrhage and edema were absorbed.

Vision in 33 eyes ran favorable course, but vision in 20 eyes did not recover. The prognosis of the eyes with submacular hemorrhage was poor, because the atrophy of the retinal pigment epithelium occured after the hemorrhage was absorbed. The visual outcome of the eyes with preretinal hemorrhage and macular edema was good.
