　左顔面に発症した巨大苺状血管腫により開瞼不能となった4か月女児に対して，開瞼を目的として上下眼瞼に副腎皮質ステロイド薬（トリアムシノロン80mg，ベタメサゾン8mg）局所注射を施行した。1回注射のみで，3日後には開瞼可能となり，著効をしめした。既に視性刺激遮断弱視となっていたが，健眼遮蔽により左視力の上昇をえた。パターン視覚誘発電位（以下PVECPと略す），視力検査を定期的に実施して経過観察を行った。局所注射後8か月の全経過中ステロイドによる合併症はなく，ステロイドの局所注射は，苺状血管腫の治療に有効であった。今回の結果から，早期治療（弱視治療も含めて）の重要性が示唆された。

We treated a 4-month-female infant who had a huge strawberry hemangioma that completely oc-cluded the left eye. Under general anesthesia, 8 mg of betamethasone sodium phosphate and 80 mg of triamcinolone acetonide were injected into the upper and lower lid tumor. Three days after the injection the eye was opened. PVECP and visual acuity test showed the improvement of visual func-tion of the affected eye of the other side was patched. There was no complication of corticoster-oid injection during the follow-up. It is suggested that intralesional corticosteroid injection is recom-mended as initial treatment for strawberry heman-gioma.
