I．緒言

　色素性緑内障（pigmentary glaucoma）の存在は，Suger^7）（1949）の報告以来注目を集め，多数の症例が報告されている。

　色素性緑内障の頻度には，著明な人種差があるようであるが，本邦にては本症に関する報告例を認めない。

A case of pigmentary glaucoma in a 24-year-old Japanese male has been presented. The pa-tient sought medical advice on account of typical symptoms for chronic glaucoma in each eye. The intraocular pressure lay between 30 and 40 mmHg during the pretreatment period. The facility of outflow was 0.08 OD and 0.11 OS. Mydriasis was followed by an acute rise of ocular tension. Visual field studies with the Goldmann perimeter showed peripheral contrac-tion OD and wedge-shaped defect in the nasal periphery OS. Myopia of low degree with slight astigmatism was present bilaterally.
