Eales病に新生血管緑内障（neovas-cular glaucoma）を続発し，その治療に，網膜光凝固療法が有効であった症例を経験した．
症例 は26歳の男性，Eales病の経過中に，右眼に新生血管緑内障を発症した．初診時の螢光隅角造影検査では隅角および瞳孔縁に新生血管および螢光色素の漏出が見られた．また，眼底には新生血管，硝子体出血が認められた．
治療としてアルゴンレーザー光凝固を網膜の無血管野に施行した．光凝固施行以後，硝子体出血の再発はない．隅角の新生血管は一部残存しているが螢光色素の漏出はほとんど消褪し，眼圧は正常化した．また初診時に低下していた視力も回復した．
Eales病に続発した新生血管緑内障の初期治療として網膜光凝固療法は試みられるべき治療法であり，その効果判定に隅角螢光造影検査は有用であると思われる．
A 26-year-old male was referred to us because of sudden visual loss in his right eye. He was diagnosed as Eales' disease associated with vitreous hemorrhage and neovascular glaucoma in his right eye. Fluorescein angiography showed neovascularization and dye leak-age from newly formed vessels in the iris and chamber angle in the right eye. We applied argon laser photocoagulation to the fundus bilaterally. Following the treatment, the patient maintained satisfactory visual acuity and ocular tension. The neovasculariza-tion of the iris and the chamber angle was remarkably diminished when examined three years later by fluores-cein angiography. No recurrence of the vitreous hemor-rhage took place during 3 years following laser
