  • Look Inside

We reviewed 64 cases of Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada disease during the foregoing 8 years. They were followed up for one year or longer. The series comprised 48 cases of nonprotracted and 16 of protracted type. Protracted type was defined as cases necessitating systemic corticosteroid for one year or longer. There was no significant difference in the final visual acuity, systemic or ocular manifestations. Recurrence in protracted cases mainly involved the anterior segment. It developed often after tapering the daily dose of prednisolone to around 10 mg.
