原田病におけるステロイド剤のパルス療法

"Pulse" methylprednisolone therapy in the treatment of Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada's disease

　8例の原田病患者を対象にメチルプレドニゾロン超大量投与によるパルス療法を行った。その結果，8例の本病患者はすべて治癒し，本療法によると考えられる副作用は1例もみられなかった。また，治療後8〜18カ月の経過観察にて1例の再発もみられなカった。

　パルス療法は原田病の新しい治療法のひとつとして試みる価値があると考えられる。

We treated 8 patients with Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada's disease with very high dose of intravenous methylprednisolone or "pulse" therapy. Six pa-tients were in the acute stage of the disease within one month after onset, while two were already in protracted stage. As the standard regimen, patients were given intravenous drip infusion of 500 or 1,000mg of methylprednisolone each day for three consecutive days. From the fourth day on, the patients were treated with 24 to 40mg daily dosis oforal methylprednisolone.
