　Terrien's marginal corneal degenerationの1例につき報告した．症例は30歳の男性で，主訴は軽度の左眼異物感であった．右角膜には上方周辺実質の混濁と表層の血管侵人が認められ，左角膜は上方周辺角膜の菲薄化が認められた．7年間の経過観察中に角膜上皮の欠損などの異常は全く観察されなかったが，両眼ともに上方周辺部の菲薄化は徐々に進行し近視性乱視を示すに至った．

A 30-year-old male manifested bilateral thinning disorder located along the superior margin. Mar-ginal opacification and superficial vascularization were present with yellow spots at the advancing edge. The lesion was located in the corneal stroma leaving the epithelium intact. During the follow-up period of 7 years, a high-degree astigmatism developed along with the progression of corneal thinning. We diagnosed the case as Terrien's mar-ginal corneal degeneration. There were no associ-ated systemic disorders.
