Abstract 文献概要

　漿液性円盤状黄斑部網膜剥離を伴う急性網膜色素上皮炎の14例に光凝固治療を行い，平均6年経過観察し，自然経過例と比較した。その結果，視力の予後，再発，自覚症状および限底所見等において両者間に差はなく，光凝固治療は必ずしも本疾患に有効とはいえなかった。この結果から，本疾患は黄斑部を中心とした後極部に広範な病変が存在するものと推測される。また増川型中心性脈絡網膜症に対して光凝固を行う場合，予後の異なる本病を除外して行うべきと考える。

Fourteen cases of acute retinal pigment epitheli-itis with associated serous disciform macular retinal detachment were followed up for an average of 6years after photocoagulation therapy in a study undertaken to compare the outcome of the therapy with the natural outcome of the disease in nontreat-ed cases. The results indicate that there were no dif-ferences between the treated and nontreated cases in prognosis for vision, relapse, subjective symptoms and funduscopic findings, thus leading to the con-clusion that photocoagulation therapy is not neces-sarily effective in the treatment of the disease.
