Two cases of retinal artery occlusion were treated with xenon photocoagulation therapy.
Case 1, a 44-year-old male, was first seen with complaint of blurring of vision with a peculiar reti-nal artery branch occlusion in his right eye.
Case 2, a 61-year-old male with right central artery occlusion (incomplete type), had a distinct bright plaque at the bifurcation of the first branch from the superior temporal artery.
In both cases, photocoagulation was applied to the portion of the bifurcation of arteriole. In case 1, vision began to improve two weeks after photo-coagulation, and simultaneous change of vascular pattern was seen.
