　1973年9月より1981年4月までに駿河台日本大学病院眼科でretinal macroan—eurysmと診断された9例9眼の臨床像，および治療について検討し従来の報告と比較検討した。年齢は55歳から81歳の平均67歳で，男女比は1：2で高齢の女性に多い傾向が見られた。macroaneurysmは全例網膜動脈の第3分枝以内に認められ，また経過中にmacro—aneurysmから何らかの出血が認められた。しかし吸収は比較的速やかで高度の視力障害を残した症例はなく視力予後は比較的良好であった。しかし，網膜前出血，黄斑部浮腫などが発生し，それらが吸収しても中等度の視力障害を残す症例が多いので，出血や浮腫が黄斑に及ぶ可能性のある症例，もしくはすでに黄斑に何らかの影響が及んでしまった症例に対しては積極的に光凝固を行うことが必要と考えた。

Clinical findings in 9 cases of retinal macroaneu-rysm are presented and discussed in comparison with previous reports. The observetion period of the cases ranged from 1 to 93 months and averaged 17 months. There were 6 females and 3 males. They ranged from 55 to 81 years in age and aver-aged 67 years. All the cases manifested one isolated macroaneurysm except one case, in whom two new aneurysms appeared in addition to the original one during a long-term follow-up period. The condition was unilateral in all the cases and was located within the third tributary branch of the retinal artery.
