緒　言

　網膜内の外網状層あるいは神経線維層の部位で網膜が内外2層に分離する網膜分離症retinosc-hisiSは，網膜剥離との鑑別やこれと合併した網膜剥離の予後を考える際に常に考慮しなくてはならない重要な疾患であるにもかかわらず，現在までその報告例は少なく，あまり知られていない。

　このretinoschisisの中に伴性劣性の遺伝形式を呈するX-linked juvenile retinoschisisと呼ばれる型がある。この疾患は周辺部のretinoschi-sisと共に黄斑部の小さな嚢胞により形成された変性，すなわち，黄斑部網膜分離症foveal ret-inoschisisを伴う事が特徴であるにもかかわらず，この黄斑部病変はあまり注目されていない。

This paper describes 8 cases (16 eyes) of X-linked juvenile retinoschisis with particular stress on the involvement of the macula in the form of foveal retinoschisis. Foveal retinoschisis is defined as a characteristic condition exhibiting cystic degeneration and radia ting folds of the foveal and perifoveal region, which may turn into pseudoforamen of the macula in aged sub-jects. More or less reduced vision accompanies the foveal retinoschisis.

In the present group, all of the 16 eyes sho-wed the presence of foveal retinoschisis while, on the other hand, typical peripheral retino-schisis was seen in only 12 of the 16 eyes.
