緒　言

　眼ヒストプラスマ症は，1942年にReidら^1）が全身性ヒストプラスマ症で死亡した患者の眼科的所見を記載したのが最初であり，その後，1959年Woodsら^2）が本症の臨床像を確立して以来，内因性ブドウ膜炎の一病因として注目を集め，北米においては多数の報告がある。

　本邦においては，1972年小暮ら^3）の一例報告のみであり，果して，眼ヒストプラスマ症が本邦に存在するのか疑問である。

We conducted histoplasmin skin test in 69 patients with various types of uveit is and in106 healthy volunteers. All the tested subjects were Japanese who were born and grew up in Japan. Positive skin reaction was confirmed in 13 cases (7%) out of the 175 subjects.

In the control group, 8 cases (7%) out of the 106 cases presented positive reaction, while, on the other hand, 5 cases (7%) of the 69 cases with uveal affections were positive. No diffe-rence was thus present in the frequency of positive histoplasmin reaction between the sup-posedly normal population and the group with uveal affections.
