眼部帯状ヘルペスに伴う眼変化については，内外共に甚だ多数の臨床報告があるが，其の病理組織学的報告はSattler^7）（1874），Meller^6）（1920）Gilbert^3）（1921），Gardilcic^2）（1937），Kreibig^5）（1938）等の報告があるのみである。

　最近種々の眼合併症を伴つた眼部帯状ヘルペスの1例を経験し，その眼球を病理組織学的に検査したので，ここに報告する。

A case of herpes zoster ophthalmicus with typical erruption of the skin, keratitis, irido-cyclitis, scleritis and secondary glaucoma were reported, and histopathologically the peri-neuritis ciliaris, periarteritis, necrosis of anterior half of the stroma in the cornea, of the lateral sclera of the ciliary body and of the sclera between the equatorial region and the hinter pol, and demarcation-inflammations of the tissue around these necrosis were obser-ved.

We were convinced that the histopathological features of the eye complications in the herpes zoster ophthalmicus were perineuritis of the ciliary nerve, and periarteritis.
