緒言
Chloromycetin （C．M．）は従来の多くの臨床試験の結果，（1）抗菌範囲が広く各種感染症に用いられ，（2）高い血中濃度が得られ効果が迅速であり，（3）耐性菌の出現がほとんど見られず効果が確実であり，（4）副作用がほとんどないことが分り，現在各科領域において広く使用されている。眼科においても既に多数の使用経験の報告があるが，それらは概ね軟膏製剤であるのに反し今回はC．M．点眼液を使用する機会を得たので，その使用成績について簡単に報告する。
C．M．点眼液の組成は次の通りである1）。
The authors applied 0.5% Chloromycetin ophthalmic solution composed of 0.5g chloramphe-nicol, 0.3g sodium borate, 1.5g boric acid and 100cc of distilled water, to the conjunctival diseases.
It was very effective on acute catarrhal conjunctivitis and blepharitis. It, however, was not so effective on epidemic ceratoconjunctivitis and the authors had to resort to sulfa drugs per oral and cortisone ointment for that.
As this eye-lotion had no side effects, it is desirable for this lotion to be used as often as other antibiotics. (3 tables.)
