結膜炎，トラコーマのクロロマイセチン軟膏使用成績

Application of Chloromycetin ointment for the conjunctivitis and Trachoma

　ペニシリン，テラマイシン，オーレオマイシン等一連の抗生物質が結膜炎，トラコーマに効果ある事は衆知の所である。クロロマイセチンについては，その抗菌スペクトルが広範囲で，スピロヘータよりグラム陽性，陰性，菌，リケツチア，比較的大型のビールス迄及び細菌性結膜炎は勿論，トラコーマにも有効である事は早くより認められているのであるが，その使用効果については細菌性結膜炎へはともかく，トラコーマに対しては一様ではない。しかしながら適当の濃度を充分に使用すればオーレオマイシン，テラマイシン同様有効である事を新潟大学，三国教授等は報告している。

　私は今回三共製藥の好意により1％眼科用クロロマイセチン軟膏を使用する機会を得たので，教室の外来患者の内，結膜炎18例，トラコーマ13例，流行性角結膜炎3例，につき実験した成績を臨床的に他覚的処見の推移及び分泌像の推移につき報告する。

1) Chloromycetin were effective in 18 cases of acute and chronic conjunctivitis, specially they were efficacious very much in K-W coccus conjunctivitis and pneumo-coccus conjunctivitis.

2) In 13 cases of Trachoma, the symptom improved gradually and after 4th week, the ten-dency to cure were indicated. There were no aggravated case.

3) In three cases of the epidemic Kerato-conjunctivitis,the superficial punctate Keratitis could not be prevented, considering from that course, it was not seemed to be affected effectively progressing naturally.
