　流行性角結膜炎（以下EKCと略す）に於ける角膜点状溷濁の予後は臨床上重要な問題であるが，長期間の観察例を得ることが難しく系統的にこれを扱つた報告は必らずしも多くはない。角膜点状溷濁の予後は，流行による起炎virusの毒力，患者の内的環境医療人種等によつて差が出てくるものと思われる。ここには1953より1958の間に東大分院眼科に於いて診療し角膜点状溷濁を発生したEKCのうち自然に近い経過を観察し得た141例202眼の成績について述べる。

One hundred and forty one cases of EKC with subepithelial corneal opacities were devi-ded into two groups (under 15 and over 16 years old) and examined at several intervals.

The corneal opacties in about 50% of cases faded within three months and 100%, within two years in the younger group, wheras those in about 39% of cases dis appeared within three months and 100%, within five years in the elder group.
