増田氏病は真の血管攣縮性中心性網膜症であるか？

Is the Masuda's Disease true Retinopathia centralis angiospastica?

　漿液性中心性脈絡網膜炎Chorioretinitis cen-tralis serosaに造詣のふかい長谷川氏は^1），この病型と，ホルニケル氏以来ギフオード氏らのいう血管攣縮性中心性網膜症Retinopathia cent-ralis angiospasticaの病型とが，果して同じものなのか別のものなのか，この点を調査した結果，これら両疾患は別のものである筈だが，本邦でも外国でも，両者を別のものとする説と，同じものとみなす説と，ふたつの異つた見解のある事実が明らかだとして，矛盾を指摘された^2）。

　これに対して，最近の日眼総会で増田中心性網脈絡膜炎について極めて興味ふかい研究業蹟を発表された三井氏は^3），これを外国誌には中心性血管攣縮性網膜症と題して発表したが^4），同氏はその理由として中心性血管攣縮性網膜症の病名で実際に扱つている病気は，増田氏病と同じものであることになつたと述べ，この結論に到るにはマウムネー教授のお世話になつた事情を語り，三井氏じしんは血管攣縮ということを否定するために，わざと表題にこの病名を用いたというような主旨を弁明されている^5）。

The condition of "central serous chorioretinitis" was described at first by Masuda in detail. He stated correctly that this condition was originated from the choroidal lesion and it must be clinically differentiated from the condition of "central serous retinitis" which belonged in a true retinopathy. But thereafter these two conditions were confusedamong many clinicians in our country. For example, they assumed that the name "Masuda's disease" (chorioretinitis centralis serosa) was synonymous with the name "central angiospastic retinopathy" which was suggested by Horniker, Gifford and Marquardt.
