This paper reports two cases of peculiar type of secondary detachment of the retina.

In the first case a 47-year-old man developed metamorphopsia of the left eye 3 months ago and was treated as retinal hemorrhage for 2 months wrthout mprovement. This time he was told to have detached retina in the left eye and referred to us on February 16, 1971. There was no pathology in the anterior segment of the eye. The aqueous was clear and the iris was normal. There were a few floaters in the vitreous but no inflammatory exudates were observed in the vitreous.
