The authors describe 2 cases of a central pig-mentary dystrophy.

Case 1 :

A 35-year-old male complained of nausea, headach and metamorphopsia. Ophthalmoscop-ically bilateral papilloedemas, choridal atrophy at the peripapillar region and no macular change were found. After 10 years he developed into a pericentral pigmentary dystrophy and showed bilateral annular scotomas, subnormal E.R.G. and reduced dark adaptation.

Case 2 :

A 22-year-old female,with a decrease in vis-ual acuity from the age of 9, showed a cent-ral pigmentary dystrophy.
