緒言

　瞳孔緊張症，反射性瞳孔強直症，絶対性瞳孔強直症等一連の瞳孔反応異常は，吾人が比較的屡々遭遇する疾患であるが，其れにも拘らず其の発生病理に関しては多くの説が並び立ち，眼科神経学的に未解決の分野の一つとなつている。

　此点に就いて，例えば反射性瞳孔強直症に関しては，沖中，豊倉は「アーガイル，ロバートソン瞳孔に関する病因論の障碍想定部位は，対光反射路求心，遠心路及び近見反射路の殆んど全領域に亘つている」と驚きの声を発しているのを見ても，其の病因論の混乱ぶりは容易に想像できるであろう。

F. Poos' theory was introduced in relation to the manifestation of the abnormal reactions of the pupil such as reflective pupillary regidity, pupillary tonic, and absolute pupillary rigidity.

This theory has developed an etiology for an anomaly of the reaction of the pupil under the ground of new explanations for the various problems of the physiological reactions of the pupil either to light or in accommodation, therefore it in short will be a theory for the nutrition disturbance in the iris due to the atrophy of the peripheral blood vessels of the iris.
