I．緒言

　トラコーマ（Tr）が眼科医にとつて常に関心の的となる問題であるにも拘らず，今なをその診断基準は確定してをらず，治療方針及び治癒判定についてもこれと同様に確たるものは無い。私は昨年来，種々の病期にあるTr患者血清について，伝研痘瘡研究室製のTr固定毒を抗原として補体結合反応（CFT）を行つた。この結果種々の新知見を得，この反応は梅毒におけるWasserman反応と同様に，Trにおいて大なる意義を有するものである事を認識したので報告する。

Using fixed antigen for Tr prepared at Dr. Arakawa's laboratory through many gene-rations of eggs or mice, CFT was tested on the serum of Tr in various stadium. On 50 cases collected at Hanaoka, the reaction was highly positive; however, no relation was fou-nd between Mac Callen's classification and the results of CFT. Meanwhile, on 40 cases at Goto island, classifying from new points suggested by Prof. Kunitomo, clinical features and the results of CFT were investigated. At that time, close linkage was found between above two.
