抗生物質治療によるプ氏小体の形態的変化

Morphological changes of Prowazek's bodies treated with antibiotics

　抗生物質によりトラコーマを治療する際にプロワツエク小体（プ氏小体）が形態学的に如何なる影響を受けるかということは，薬剤のトラコーマに対する治療効果を検討する上に有力な指針となり，又トラコーマ・ウイルスに対する作用機転にも関連して，重要な問題である。

　抗生物質治療によるプ氏小体の形態的変化については，三井，岩重氏等数氏の報告があり，著者も一部既報した^1）が，更に種々の知見を得たので報告する。

Patients with acute trachoma were treated with Oxytetracycline, Chlortetracycline, and Tetracycline, and Prowazek's inclusion bodies showed the following degenerative changes ; 4 to 5 days after the beginning of the treatment Prowazek's bodies presenting the acidop-hilic reaction in Giemsa's staining were demonstrated in small number, and 13 to 14 days after the treatment they increased in nember. In the treatment with Oxytetracycline many residual bodies (Restkoerper) were found and initial bodies were stained acidophilic with Giema's solution.
