緒言

　網膜中心動脈栓塞症に就いては古来数多くの文献があり，その治療法に就いても亜硝酸ソーダ皮注，メトブロミン皮注，アミルニトリツト吸入，アセチルコリン及びアトロピン球後注射，前房穿刺其他多くの報告があり，又，その治験例が報ぜられて居る。之にも拘らず本症の予後は一般に不良の事が多いとされて居る。私は偶然昭和31年12月急激な視力障碍を訴えて練馬病院眼科外来を訪れた本症患者に2-ベンチルイミダリン（プリスコール）の球後注射を行つて良好な結果を得たので報告する。

The author gave a patient of emboly of the central artery of retina the retrobulbaric injection of Priscol and got the good results on the visual acuity, the visual field and the impression of fundus.

I conclude that this injection caused ectasia of the retinal blood-vessel and decrease of intraocular tension, as the result the recovery of the circulation of retina and the resorp-tion of edema was brought, and the function of retina recovered.
