  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

The authors observed aqueous veins and variations in the ocular tension when blood-vessels of the eye including aqueous veins suddenly varied with inhalation of a few drops of amylnitrite. Observation on 14 non-glaucomatous eyes (13 cases) with normal ocular tension and 20 glaucomatous eyes (15 cases, simple: 15 eyes and chronic-congestive: 5 eyes) every 30 to 60 seconds for first 5 minutes and every 5 minutes for about 20 minutes after inhalation of amylnitrite showed that ocular tension and aqueous veins vary with inhalation of amylnitrite, and there are three types of each variation.
