顔面及び頭蓋の不相称を伴える一眼高度遠視に就いて

On the intensive monocular hypermetropia with the asymmetry of face and skull.

緒言

　E．Fuchs教授のLehrbuchder Augenheilkun-deにも，高度の不同視眼に於いてはasymmet-rische Bildung des Gesichtes und des Scha-dels即ち顔面及び頭蓋の不相称を伴う場合のあることは記載されおり吾国に於いても，顔面の不相称を伴う一眼高度近視の報告は，緒方昇，伊藤忠，倉知与志氏等数氏の報告があるが，顔面の不相称を伴う一眼高度遠視症例の報告は，極めて稀の様であるが，私は，顔面及び頭蓋の不相称を伴つた一眼高度遠視の症例を観察したので報告せんとするものである。

A 14-years-old boy. He showed emmetropia on his right eye, and hypermetropia, convex 9.0D.(by skiascopy), on his left eye only.

His visual acuity. right 1.5 (irremediable).........................E.

left 0.1 (0.4 convex 7.0D.)..........H.

The author observed the remarkable asymmetry of face and skull. In comparison with the right side of face, i.e. the side of emmetropia, the left side of face, i. e. the side of the intensive hypermetropia, is remarkably small. In measurement of the orbital margin the left is remarkably small against the right.
