緒言

　疼痛という事は私共医者に取つて一大問題であるが，同時に又患者に取つても重大な事柄であり，而も此は殆んど凡ゆる疾患に伴つている一現象で，一般患者の90％以上は此があるために医者を訪ねて来るとさえ言われている。

　勿論，疼痛は自覚的な症候ではあるが，其の性質なり，要因なり，局在なりを深く検討する事は，他覚的な検査と相俟つて，各疾患の本質をつきとめて診断を下すという場合に，有力な助となる事は言う迄もない。

1. By the clinical and laboratory examination, especially by the craniotomy, we could find the organic signs at the special site of the cerebral basis near the pituitary fossa. It was acknowledged that this change, infiltration, exudation or hemorrhage cause the attack of mig-raine. Migraine vulgaris, simplex, ophthalmica, and ophthalmoplegica occurr respectively accor-ding to the width of the diseased area.

2. For the healthy man who has neither anamnesis of epilepsy nor dispositiono,intracarotid injection of Gleran, Sodium iodide, Chininum hydrothloricum, or Novocaine caused the typical attack of epilepsy.
